PROGRAM DURATION

1500 hours (to be completed in 10 months)

comprised of 1000 hours of practical experience and 500 hours of theoretical instruction.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be competent in the following areas:

• Create modern haircuts and styling
• Advanced knowledge of colour highlighting and perms
• Advanced knowledge of chemical treatments
• Treatment of hair and scalp
• Product knowledge
• Client relations
• Salon/business management and personal/shop hygiene

Grading System: passing grade is overall mark of 80%

E – Excellent [95-100%] G – Good [85-94%] S – Satisfactory [80-84%] NI – Needs Improvement [79%] Pass = 80% or better Fail = 79% or less
